Does God Care?

Does God Care?

Some view God as a Being of chaos and indifference. Is God really indifferent to our sufferings? Does He really care about you and I ? He most certainly does care! As a matter of fact, God’s Word says that He is love (1 John 4:8). If you let Him, the God of love can change your life forever. Take a look at what the Bible has to say about His care and concern for you.

What does the bible say About God’s Love?

Here are a few excerpts from God’s love letter to you:

Isaiah 43:4  Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee…

Jeremiah 31:3  The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Answer: God’s Word says that you are precious to Him and that He loves you. He doesn’t draw you to Himself with cruelty or unkindness, but with lovingkindness He draws you. He looks at you as the only lost soul in the universe, and He has done so much to get you back from Satan.

HOW HAS GOD DEMONSTRATED HIS LOVE?

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1John 4:9-10  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Answer: The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all tell the story in vivid detail about Jesus’ Christ’s life on Earth. The Father was willing to suffer His only begotten Son to die for sinners like you and I so that we would have the chance to be saved. The Bible demonstrates that Jesus is God and that there is a Biblical Godhead (Colossians 2:9). Rather than being separated from you for all eternity, the same God that created all that we see and hear came down to this Earth to suffer at the hands of wicked human beings, Satan and his host in order to save you.

DOES GOD LOVE YOU?

Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Answer: God loves you. Although you are a sinner and that all have sinned against God, He still loves you and all the people on the planet. We cannot earn this love, nor do we deserve it. James 1:15  says when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. God knows that the sure result of sin is death. The only thing we are deserving of is death, but because Jesus loves us He took our places and died the death that we deserve.

JESUS DIED…WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME?

Hosea 1:10  Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

John 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Answer: Jesus took the place that we deserve. Christ died to satisfy the death penalty. He lived and died as a man, and kept the whole law of God. He did no sin, and therefore He was a perfect sacrifice. His sinless life is credited to our account so that we can be counted righteous. For all the evils we have done as recorded on our account, His death is accepted as a full payment.  When we accept that gift, we are adopted into His family.

HOW DO I RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST?

  1. Admit: “I am a sinner” Why? Because all have sinned (Romans 3:23)
  2. Admit: “I am going to die” How come? Because the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)
  3. Admit: “I can’t save myself” Why can’t I? Because Jesus said that “without me ye can do nothing”. (John 15:5)
  4. Believe: “Jesus Christ died for me”. Did He? Hebrews 2:9 says But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
  5. Believe: “He forgives me” Does He? 1John 1:9 says  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  6. Believe: “He saves me” Really? Jesus said “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” (John 6:47).

HOW DO I GET THE GIFT OF SALVATION?

Romans 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 3:28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Answer: The only thing that you can do is accept God’s gift of justification. You cannot justify yourself by your own good works. You must accept what Jesus has done for you. Both the worst person in the world and the do-gooder will be accepted on the same basis which is by faith. Any good that you have done in your past does not count towards your salvation. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT FROM YOU AFTER ACCEPTING HIS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION?

James 2:26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Ezekiel 18:31-32  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

Ezekiel 36:26-27  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

2Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Once you accept the gift of salvation, God expects you to live up to your profession of faith. He so desperately wants you to unite your efforts with Him in the work of creating in you a beautiful brand new character. By God working in your life, sin becomes repulsive and undesirable, while doing well becomes enjoyable. Jesus’ power changes the offensive sinner into a loving saint. Would you like to experience Jesus’s creative power in your life?
